Baby gifts for Edmonton families
Edmonton families welcome babies at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, whose Lois Hole Hospital for Women is the city's main maternity centre, and at the Grey Nuns and Misericordia community hospitals. The river valley splits the city into north and south, and addresses run from mature neighbourhoods like Glenora, Garneau and Highlands to newer communities in Windermere, Summerside and the Meadows. Winters are long and cold, so a present that arrives indoors, safely wrapped, is welcome from November to March. Many gifts to the Alberta capital come from grandparents in Ontario and British Columbia who cannot fly out for the first weeks. Sherwood Park and St. Albert sit just outside the city limits and are easy to add to the same thinking when a whole family network wants to celebrate together.
