    Overview

    Birbaby Canada takes care in preparing and delivering baby gifts so they arrive in appropriate condition and presentation. This policy explains how damaged, missing, delayed, undeliverable, substituted, customized, or otherwise disputed orders are reviewed, and outlines situations where refunds, replacements, credits, or other resolutions may not be available.

    Birbaby Canada offers baby gifts, baby gift baskets, newborn gifts, custom baby gifts, keepsake gifts, and related gift add-ons. Products may include shelf-stable items, specialty baby products, branded baby products, seasonal items, packaging materials, keepsake items, customized selections, or other gift components depending on the product selected.

    Because many orders are prepared for a specific recipient, delivery address, delivery date, or custom gift selection, eligibility for a refund, replacement, credit, or other resolution depends on the order condition, delivery outcome, product type, customization status, timing, and supporting documentation.

    Damaged or Missing Items

    If an order arrives damaged, defective, or missing items, the issue must be reported by the purchaser or recipient within the applicable timeframe:

    • Time-sensitive, customized, or specialty gift items: within 24 hours of delivery
    • Non-perishable items: within 5 days of delivery

    Clear photos of the damaged item or items and the original packaging are required so customer service can properly assess the issue. Additional information may also be requested, including the order number, delivery address, recipient name, delivery date, and a description of the issue.

    Once the required information is received, customer service will review the claim and respond as soon as reasonably possible. Where appropriate, Birbaby Canada may offer a replacement, store credit, refund, partial refund, re-delivery, substitution, or other resolution at its discretion based on the order condition, delivery outcome, product type, customization status, and supporting documentation.

    Refund Eligibility

    Refunds, replacements, or credits may not be available in the following situations:

    • Orders affected by delivery delays caused by incorrect or incomplete customer or recipient information
    • Orders affected by recipient unavailability, refused delivery, failed access, building restrictions, hospital or facility policies, or security procedures
    • Orders marked as delivered where proof of delivery or delivery confirmation has been obtained
    • Customized baby gifts, personalized gift messages, custom selections, or specialty configured products once preparation, fulfillment, or delivery coordination has begun
    • Change of mind after an order has been placed
    • Personal taste, preference, or dissatisfaction with a properly fulfilled product
    • Substitutions made in accordance with our substitution standards
    • Delivery issues caused by weather, traffic, courier disruptions, carrier delays, public emergencies, peak seasonal volume, or other circumstances beyond our control
    • Undeliverable orders due to incorrect address information, missing unit or suite numbers, restricted access, recipient refusal, or recipient unavailability
    • Orders delayed because additional delivery information, recipient contact details, or access instructions were not provided

    Substitutions made in accordance with our substitution standards are not considered defects when the overall intent, value, and presentation of the gift are maintained.

    Substitutions

    Because product availability can vary, substitutions may occasionally be made when necessary. This may apply to baby products, branded items, keepsake items, packaging, containers, colors, gift components, add-ons, or other specialty goods.

    When substitutions are made, Birbaby Canada aims to maintain the overall presentation, value, and gifting intent of the selected product. Substitutions made in accordance with this standard are not automatically eligible for refunds, replacements, or credits.

    Custom Baby Gifts

    Birbaby Canada offers a custom baby gift builder that allows customers to choose a theme, answer questions, review selections, edit choices, add upgrades, and send selected items to cart.

    Customers are responsible for reviewing all custom gift selections, add-ons, gift messages, delivery details, recipient information, and cart contents before submitting an order.

    Custom baby gifts may require additional preparation time. Once preparation, fulfillment, customization, or delivery coordination has begun, custom baby gifts may not be eligible for cancellation, refund, replacement, return, or modification except where required by applicable law or approved by Birbaby Canada at its discretion.

    Returns

    Orders are prepared specifically for each customer and recipient. Many items cannot be reused or resold once prepared, packaged, shipped, delivered, opened, customized, or handled. As a result:

    • Customized or personalized gifts may not be eligible for return
    • Opened, used, handled, damaged, or partially consumed items cannot be returned
    • Prepared gift baskets, gift boxes, and custom gift arrangements may not be eligible for return
    • Seasonal, specialty, branded, limited-availability, or keepsake items may not be eligible for return
    • Refused deliveries are treated as undeliverable orders and may not be eligible for refunds

    Re-Delivery and Re-Shipping

    If an order cannot be delivered due to customer or recipient circumstances, re-delivery or re-shipping may be offered at the purchaser’s expense where available.

    • Re-delivery or re-shipping fees depend on the product type, destination, delivery method, courier availability, and timing
    • Custom or prepared gifts may require remaking, repackaging, or replacement before re-delivery or re-shipping
    • Customers may be charged for associated costs when items cannot be reused, resold, or safely re-delivered
    • Re-delivery is not guaranteed and depends on product condition, delivery availability, recipient availability, and applicable delivery requirements

    Shipping, Delivery, and Same-Day Delivery

    Birbaby Canada provides delivery and shipping options across eligible Canadian delivery regions. Same-day delivery may be available on eligible products and in eligible delivery regions, depending on product selection, customization requirements, order timing, recipient address, courier availability, and operational capacity.

    Delivery dates, delivery windows, shipping times, and same-day delivery availability are estimates unless expressly confirmed otherwise in writing by Birbaby Canada. Available delivery options are shown where applicable during the shopping or checkout process.

    Birbaby Canada is not responsible for delays, failed deliveries, or service interruptions caused by carriers, couriers, weather, traffic, building access issues, hospital or facility policies, recipient unavailability, incorrect or incomplete delivery information, public emergencies, peak seasonal demand, or other circumstances beyond our control.

    Office, Building, Hospital, and Managed Property Deliveries

    For offices, institutions, apartments, hotels, condominiums, gated communities, hospitals, medical facilities, and managed properties, delivery may be completed at a reception desk, mailroom, concierge, security desk, front desk, loading area, delivery room, nursing station, or other location accepted by the building, facility, courier, or delivery carrier.

    Delivery to these locations may be subject to building policies, hospital rules, security restrictions, access limitations, recipient availability, or internal handling procedures. Birbaby Canada is not responsible for delays or issues caused by these restrictions once the order has been delivered to an accepted location or handled according to applicable delivery procedures.

    Alcohol and Restricted Items

    Birbaby Canada does not currently present alcohol or regulated products as a standard part of the website’s baby gifting model. If restricted products are ever offered, availability may depend on applicable laws, recipient location, delivery rules, product availability, and any required age or identity verification.

    Birbaby Canada reserves the right to refuse, cancel, modify, or restrict any order where a product, add-on, recipient location, or delivery request creates a legal, regulatory, safety, or operational concern.

    Cancellations and Order Changes

    Orders begin processing shortly after payment is submitted. Customers should contact customer service promptly after placing an order if an address change, recipient correction, gift-message update, cancellation, or other order change is needed.

    • Changes cannot be guaranteed once preparation, customization, fulfillment, shipping, or delivery coordination has begun
    • Once an order has shipped or entered delivery coordination, address changes or cancellations may no longer be possible
    • Custom baby gifts may not be eligible for cancellation once preparation or customization has begun
    • During peak periods, holidays, weekends, or high-volume delivery periods, additional notice may be required and changes may not be available

    Submitting a cancellation or change request does not guarantee that the request can be accommodated.

    Events Beyond Our Control

    Birbaby Canada is not responsible for refunds, replacements, credits, delivery delays, non-delivery, failed delivery attempts, or service interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control.

    These circumstances may include weather events, traffic disruptions, courier or carrier delays, supply shortages, public emergencies, labour disruptions, power outages, technology failures, building access restrictions, hospital or facility policies, incorrect recipient information, recipient unavailability, or other events that affect preparation, shipping, delivery, or customer support.

    Order Tracking

    Birbaby Canada provides an order tracking widget where customers may check available order, shipment, or delivery updates. Tracking information may depend on courier systems, fulfillment updates, delivery partner updates, and order status.

    Tracking updates may not appear immediately, and some custom baby gifts may require preparation time before shipment or delivery tracking becomes available.
