Baby gifts for Markham families
Markham blends the historic Main Street of Unionville and Markham Village with modern subdivisions in Cornell, Berczy Village, Cathedraltown and Box Grove. Markham Stouffville Hospital, part of Oak Valley Health, is where many local families give birth. The city has one of the most diverse populations in Canada, with large Chinese, South Asian and Tamil communities, and the full-month celebration or a naming ceremony can turn a baby gift into part of a larger family event. Technology offices along Highway 7 and the 404 mean colleague gifts are common, and many residents have grandparents in Hong Kong, India or Sri Lanka who order online. Toogood Pond and the Rouge National Urban Park give new parents green space, and Richmond Hill and Stouffville sit right next door.
