How to choose a baby gift
Practical first
Diapers are always used. The bunny basket for a baby girl, $51.99, pairs a plush bunny blanket and toy with Huggies newborn diapers; the baby boy diaper bouquet, $74.99, rolls ten diapers, washcloths, socks and bibs into a bouquet held together without glue.
Boy, girl or a surprise
Birbaby keeps separate baby girl and baby boy collections. If the family has kept the news to themselves, the gender-neutral gifts suit either.
A toast for the parents
Champagne or sparkling wine was in 8% of baby orders from Jan 2023 to Sep 2026, the same share as across all orders from 2023 to 2025. The Welcome Baby champagne gift adds a Welcome Baby balloon in a pine box; the person who accepts it must be 19 or older (18 or older in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec).
One generous gift
99% of baby orders from Jan 2023 to Sep 2026 held a single gift, so one well-filled basket is the usual choice. The baby boy essentials set brings a change pad set, sippy cups and receiving blankets in a wicker basket.
Hospital or home
Hospital and office deliveries arrive in business hours and may be left with reception or at the nursing station. If the family will be home by the delivery date, the home address is the simpler choice.
Choose every item
To fill a basket item by item, use the custom baby gift builder. For a bigger celebration, the Expression of Joy set adds a plush bear, an outfit and brownies to the champagne.
Baby gifts from the office
Companies sent 34% of baby orders from Jan 2023 to Sep 2026, close to the 38% they sent across all orders from 2023 to 2025. Office deliveries arrive in business hours, and same-day office delivery runs only in the Greater Toronto Area and Lower Mainland, between noon and 5 p.m.
